# RunLite > The missing backend for AI-built websites. RunLite is an MCP connector that lets Claude, Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf, or any MCP client host a static website, wire its contact form to a real endpoint, and deliver enquiries by email — in one conversation, with no dashboard to set up. RunLite is for people who ask an AI tool to build a website for a business (freelance web developers, small agencies, business owners) and need it to actually go live with a working contact form. - Sites go live on a free `{subdomain}.runlitehost.com` address immediately. Deployments are atomic, versioned, and served through Amazon CloudFront. - Forms: one tool call returns embeddable HTML with spam protection (honeypot plus an ALTCHA proof-of-work challenge) already wired in. Submissions are stored and emailed to a real inbox. - One sign-in to start: the first time an AI tool connects, RunLite's sign-in page offers Google or an emailed one-time code, which creates a free account if the user doesn't have one. - Custom domains (e.g. `www.mybakery.com`) on every paid plan. ## Connect One address for every client: `https://mcp.runlite.in` (Streamable HTTP). It requires sign-in. The first connection opens RunLite's sign-in page (OAuth), where the user signs in with Google or an emailed code; that creates their account if they don't have one yet. - Claude (web or desktop): RunLite is listed in Claude's connector directory (https://claude.ai/directory/runlite), or add `https://mcp.runlite.in` as a custom connector. - Claude Code: `claude mcp add --transport http runlite https://mcp.runlite.in`, then `/mcp` to sign in. - Cursor and Windsurf: `https://mcp.runlite.in` (Windsurf's config key is `serverUrl`, not `url`). - Any other MCP client that supports remote Streamable HTTP servers, such as ChatGPT (developer mode) or VS Code: the same address. These haven't been tested with RunLite yet. - Scripts and clients without OAuth: send an API key from the dashboard (https://app.runlite.in/account) as `Authorization: Bearer `. ## Tools Every tool acts as the signed-in account; none takes an API key argument. - `get_account`: the account's plan, and its sites against the plan's limit. Read-only. - `deploy_site`: upload files and make them live; creates the site on first call. Atomic — every file goes live, or none does. - `update_site`: re-deploy an existing site with every file. - `start_upload`, `upload_files`, `publish_upload`: send a site too large for one call (over about 30 KB) in parts, up to 50 files per call, and publish it as one atomic deploy. - `read_site_file`: read the current text of one live file. Read-only. - `patch_site`: add, replace or remove some files of a live site and keep the rest, as one new version. - `get_site`: what a site is serving now: the live version, each file's size and sha256, recent deployments, and its forms. Read-only. - `create_form`: create a form endpoint and return ready-to-paste HTML with spam protection. - `get_form`: one form's fields, where its enquiries go, how many it has had, and its HTML again. Read-only. - `configure_notifications`: set where a form's submissions are emailed. A new address must confirm by email before enquiries are delivered to it. - `get_submissions`: read recent form submissions. - `set_custom_domain`: start attaching a customer-owned domain; returns the DNS record to add. - `check_custom_domain_status`: re-check a pending custom domain and advance it until it is live. - `remove_custom_domain`: detach a custom domain and revert the site to its runlitehost.com address. ## A typical session 1. Connect and sign in (Google or an emailed code). 2. `deploy_site` with the files (a root `index.html` is required). Keep the returned `siteId`. 3. For a contact form: `create_form`, put its HTML in the page as-is, then `patch_site` with that page. 4. `configure_notifications` with the business owner's email, and tell them to confirm it. ## What RunLite won't publish - Anything but static web files: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JSON, images, fonts, audio, video and PDF. Programs, installers and archives are refused. - Pages on a `runlitehost.com` address that ask for passwords, card details, one-time codes, PINs or cryptocurrency wallet phrases. These are allowed only on the site's own custom domain (a paid plan). - Phishing, malware, scams and spam. Deploys are scanned; report a site at https://runlite.in/report-abuse. ## Plans Prices are per month in Indian rupees, plus 18% GST. - Hobby (free): 1 site, 100 form submissions a month, 30 deployments per site a month, 2 GB of bandwidth a month, 4 MB per site. - Personal (₹199): 1 site with its own custom domain, 500 form submissions a month, 100 deployments per site a month, 5 GB of bandwidth, 25 MB per site. - Developer (₹499): 5 sites, 5 custom domains, 1,500 form submissions a month, 100 deployments per site a month, 10 GB of bandwidth, 25 MB per site. - Agency (₹1,499, by request: email support@runlite.in): 25 sites, 25 custom domains, 4,000 form submissions a month, 100 deployments per site a month, 40 GB of bandwidth, 25 MB per site. - Going over a limit never takes a live site down: new deployments are saved as drafts, forms keep accepting submissions (past the allowance they're stored but not emailed), and bandwidth is fair use, never slowed or stopped. - Upgrade from the account page at https://app.runlite.in.
